Begins:
Ends:
Sumer was the first civilization ever built. It rose from the desert through communal ingenuity, radical resourcefulness, and the belief that human beings, working together with intention, could create something the world had never seen.
Every year, Burning Man does the same thing.
Sumeria is a tribute to that turning point in human history and an invitation to invoke the same spirit: to arrive in the desert as strangers, build something real together, and leave as a community that did not exist before.
What Sumerians Know
The people of ancient Sumer did not wait for conditions to be perfect. They built irrigation in the desert. They invented writing so knowledge could outlast any one person. They created cities so that human beings could do together what none of them could do alone.
Sumerians arriving at Black Rock City in 2027 carry the same charge. The desert will be extreme. The conditions will be demanding. What gets built inside those conditions, between 50 people who choose to show up fully, is the point.
The Premise
Burning Man is one of the most transformative experiences on earth. It is also one of the most logistically brutal. Most people who go spend the first two days overwhelmed, the middle days surviving, and the last day wondering what they missed.
Sumeria removes the survival problem entirely. Every logistical detail is handled. What you do with your time, your attention, and the people around you once you are on the playa is entirely up to you.
This is not a packaged tour. It is 50 people who want to be genuinely present for one of the most unusual weeks of their lives and who understand that what they build together matters more than what they experience alone.
The Shape of Ten Days
Phase 1: Arrival and Orientation (Day 1, Reno)
Sumerians fly into Reno and check into a hotel arranged by Profound Human. Day 1 combines arrival and orientation into one evening. A welcome dinner brings the community together for the first time. A brief facilitated session establishes the Sumerian ethos and sets intentions for the ten days ahead. We are not spectators. We are builders.
Phase 2: The Journey In (Day 2)
The convoy leaves Reno early on Day 2. Sumeria arrives at Black Rock City ahead of the main crowds. Early arrival means a quieter playa and the extraordinary experience of watching the city emerge from the desert floor around you. Camp setup happens the same day. Every Sumerian contributes. The communal work of building camp together is the first act of the experience.
Phase 3: The Burn (Days 3 through 9)
Seven days inside Black Rock City. The Profound Human programming layer runs each morning in camp. The days and nights belong to each Sumerian and to the community as a whole.
Burning Man 2027 culminates with the burning of the Man on Saturday night and the Temple on Sunday. Sumeria gathers for both. These are the two most significant events of the calendar and the reason the ten days are structured precisely as they are.
Phase 4: Integration and Return (Day 10)
Strike begins after the Temple burn. Every trace of the camp is removed in accordance with Burning Man's Leave No Trace principle. The convoy returns to Reno the same day.
A half-day decompression session follows on arrival in Reno before Sumerians travel home. Going directly from the playa to real life is one of the most common mistakes Burners make. The closing session is where the experience is processed, grounded, and made portable.

The Profound Human Programming Layer
Breathwork. Daily optional sessions each morning. A grounding practice before the intensity of the day.
Intention setting. The Reno orientation includes a facilitated session on what each Sumerian wants to understand, resolve, or build during the ten days. Not what they want to see. What they want to become.
Integration circles. Twenty minutes each afternoon. A structured space to process what is coming up. Burning Man surfaces things and having a container for that keeps the experience from becoming overwhelming.
Communal contribution. Every Sumerian contributes to camp life in at least one way across the week. Cooking, building, gifting, teaching. The first civilization was not built by people who watched.
The decompression session. A half-day facilitated session in Reno on Day 10. How to bring what was built in the desert back into a life that does not yet know it exists.
